Being a creative can be either exciting or daunting, depending on many factors, so it makes sense that most creatives tend to focus on one discipline. That, however, can’t be said about sea, aka sea the UFO, as she’s one to keep tabs on!
Why should we watch out for sea as an artist? Well, Jamie says…
As a Ghanaian/Jamaican born in the UK, sea has always been unique. Her mum’s ability to help her hone her creative spirit during her upbringing in London helped her start out as a dancer, and while that may have been the platform to build on, music was her calling! After overcoming stage fright, sea began to ghostwrite, all while being fuelled by a strong desire to record her own music. This ultimately led her to move to Ghana, where she linked up with Mike Millz to produce her maiden single on the 13th of April 2025, Peace Riddim, an experimental R&B/Afro-Dancehall record!
Peace Riddim is described as a song “birthed from the raw determination to become more of one’s self” as the creative relies on the strength of her heritage to provide us with a fusion of old-school ragga and dancehall to explain how real peace is birthed from war!
